Linguist | Mixed-Methods Researcher | Data Analyst | Research Lab Director Associate Professor of Spanish & Linguistics I'm a linguist and mixed-methods (quantitative and qualitative) researcher with expertise in experimental design, surveys, interviews, descriptive and inferential statistics, data visualization, discourse analysis, and acoustic analysis. My research and teaching interests include sociolinguistics, sociophonetics, phonetics & phonology, language attitudes & language ideologies, bilingualism, SLA & study abroad, dialects/languages in contact, and variational pragmatics. I am an Associate Professor of Spanish & Linguistics and the Director of the Sociolinguistics & Bilingualism Research Lab at Texas Tech University. I aim to apply linguistics and data analysis research to industry as I believe both industry and academia benefit from collaboration.
